The word betsubara (別腹), composed of betsu (separate) and bara (stomach), literally says that your body has a second stomach for sweets. Since sweets are only sold in bulk our solution is to make it more accessible for people to buy sweets by having a single box for each piece of sweet. Betsu Bara is a unique sweet fusing Japanese and Indian aspects of a desert.

CONCEPT: We chose fusion of culture as our concept because having the creativity of the Indian and Japanese cultures merged together would attract a lot of people to the outcome of it. Our sweet will look like the famous Japanese sweets i.e Taiyaki and Namagashi but its flavours will be of Barfi and Besan Ladoo which are Indian sweets. And, the packaging design contains patterns and designs from both the Indian and Japanese style.
