An original format, a label well-suited to being customised every time, to meet the strategic needs of the brand, a simple yet linear and elegant shape: this is the result of the collaboration between Acque Minerali Val Menaggio, owner of Chiarella, and PET Engineering, a company from Treviso specialising in packaging design and manufacture for the food & beverage sector.
The new 0.66l Chiarella bottle is a true novelty for the national and international HO.RE.CA. sector and positions itself half way between the ideal 0.5l bottle for on-the-go consumption and the 1l bottle for restaurants.
The choice is motivated by the desire to differentiate this product not only in the shape, labels and concept of communication, but also through the format which has currently no rivals in the market. It guarantees immediate recognition for its dimensions and proportions and allows the 1l format to be replaced with the 0.66l format in restaurants, which can increase their margins in terms of units sold.
The shape also contributes to the recognition of the new Chiarella packaging: smooth, decoration and texture free, a transparent label fits perfectly into the centre. This becomes not just a window into the product, which can be appreciated in all its clarity and purity, but also onto the central basin of Lake Como, reinforcing the bond between the brand and the location.
The label, which is the brainchild of Fabrizio Musa’s creativity, an internationally acclaimed contemporary artist, is part of the Sympòsion project with which Chiarella invites exponents of the art world to connect with each other, through the reduced space of the label, on the theme of Excellence of Nature and Man, values which the brand brings to Italian and international tables every day.
The label is also well-suited to infinite customisation, such as the limited edition produced to pay tribute to the genius of the Architect and Designer Achille Castiglioni on the occasion of the centenary of his birth (16 February 2018). The Limited Edition project managed by the public relations agency Comunity Lab, media partner Design Street, has revisited the historic label using a simple and contemporary visual language, a birthday card for the Master. Zero66Castiglioni was launched on the occasion of Design Week and will be sold throughout 2018.
Alongside packaging design and engineering, PET Engineering has supplied Acque Minerali Val Menaggio with a series of moulds for the Krones blowing machines for its production activity.
