Packaging for Sea Salt Flakes sourced from the Great Barrier Reef. The design is inspired by the Hawksbill Turtle, a species that uses the far northern section of the reef as a breeding ground. The pattern is drawn from the shapes on their shell, and the 'lid' is created to imitate the way the shell of a turtle sits over its body. By using a material bag, instead of a common plastic, the packaging could be recycled/ reused.

The product is intended to be sold at Australian airports and is marketed to middle to high income earners. The use of bold colours, with the contrast of black is used to grab this audiences attention. The triangular shape of the packaging was also chosen to be more durable, (as triangles are structurally strong) to ensure it wasn't damaged in travel.

What's Unique?
The triangular shape of the packaging as well as the outer slip makes it unique. The use of a material, reusable bag (especially for salt) is unique.
