The story of Hayman’s distillery dates back five generations, all the way to 1863, when the family first began producing their True English Gins. Today Hayman’s gin is celebrated for its traditional distilling processes and recipes – which remain unchanged 150 years later – and for its exciting botanicals.

Earlier this year the MW Luxury team was invited to collaborate with Hayman’s on a charming gift set showcasing their most delectable gins. The set includes three 20cl bottles of gin from Hayman’s core range – their London Dry Gin, Old Tom Gin and Sloe Gin – and features exquisite MW packaging dreamt up by the talented designers at Stranger & Stranger.

The finished pack boasts premium rigid board construction, and is wrapped in blue paper finished with an anti-scratch matt laminate. We embossed the paper with a fine linear pattern to give a textured, “pinstriped” effect, and embellished with spot UV varnish and foil detailing.

The pack’s clever construction incorporates a folding front flap with an open window allowing you to see the bottles within. This flap is attached with a two-way hinge, allowing it to bend both ways. Lift it up using the navy ribbon attachment, and you can fold it neatly over the back of the pack – once folded back it will be held in place with hidden magnets.

With the pack open, further design flourishes become clear. The patterned papers lining each recess, which are matched to the design of each bottle of gin, continue onto the front of the pack. Inside each recess the miniature bottle of Hayman’s is held securely in an EVA fitment.

The final details making this gift set truly special are the tasting notes on the back of the pack, and a cocktail booklet filled with inspiring recipes.
