India's Most trusted packaged drinking water. It is a signature product of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). Processed, purified, bottled, and packaged at the State-of-art plants, Rail Neer is widely available at all major railway stations across the Indian Railway Network.

When we think of Rail Neer, the first thing that crosses our mind is the railway station, our time spent on the train, and the fun we had during our journey. Rail Neer has become an integral part of our travel now. Every household in India, be it poor or rich, has a Rail neer bottle. It's more than just a drinking water bottle, it's a bottle of memories.
Indian railway is evolving with time. It is becoming modern and is providing great services. The existing Rail Neer Packaging is very simple, with texts all over the label. To keep up with the trend, I thought of re-designing the label by giving it a more modern look which passengers of every class can like and relate to. Our target audience here is every citizen of India who travels on the train.

I've illustrated the window of the sleeper class train, the most common window on the trains. The patch behind the window depicts our freedom of opening and closing the windows. The wavy lines portray the ups and downs of our journey.

The label of the Rail Neer has two scripts- English and Devnagri. I've incorporated the same scripts in my re-design too. I've maintained the old color palette in the new label, along with introducing two more color palettes for special trains. The material of the label is semi-gloss paper, followed by the flexographic printing.
What's Unique?
The depiction of the train window is what makes this water bottle label different. Since the name itself says Rail Neer(water), the label shows the train and the journey in a modern way. The packaging doesn't discriminate against anyone on the basis of caste, income, color, religion, etc. It is one for all. Even if a person can't speak or read English or Hindi, they can still recognize the bottle as 'rail neer' because of the train window on the label.
